​The following are needed for an accurate analysis. Understand that a hard copy is always best but not necessary to give a report of the handwriting or signature. 

• The sample is written on plain paper. (no lines)

• The resting surface is smooth, but not too hard.

• The sample is written in ink

• The sample is 15 to 20 lines long. It does not matter what the content is, copy lines from a book or a poem etc.

• The sample is signed using the subject's usual signature if requesting both or just a signature is submitted with same guidelines.
